The 4-part structure behind a VSL that sells
Hook, problem, proof, offer. How we map video sales letters so viewers watch all the way to the buy button.
A video sales letter has one job: keep the right person watching until they're ready to buy. Good editing turns a long script into something that feels short.
1. Hook. Open with the biggest promise or the most painful problem. The viewer should know in seconds that this video is for them.
2. Problem. Describe what your viewer is struggling with in their own words. On-screen text and simple visuals make it feel personal.
3. Proof and solution. Show how your offer solves it, with demos, results, screenshots and testimonials. Motion graphics help make complex points easy to follow.
4. Offer and call to action. Lay out exactly what they get, the price and the next step. Repeat the CTA and keep the button visible.
We also cut every VSL into short clips for ads and social, so one shoot fuels your whole funnel.
